Beauty Essentials for a Beach Vacation

Summer vacations are always the best. We look forward to them each and every year. Packing up the car for a road trip to a seaside location, or packing our suitcases and heading off to a sandy, hot, sunny warm beach somewhere seems like all we live for all year long. If you’ve got your clothes packed and ready to go, and have decided it’s time to pack your beauty essentials, do you know what beauty products you should opt for bringing with you? Lionesse has put together a pretty concise list of items you may want to have on hand while on your beach vacation. Read on to discover which products you should always bring with you.

Sunscreen for Face, Body and Lips
Protecting your skin from the elements and sun should always be your number one priority when on a beach vacation. Opting for a couple different sunscreen products is a great way to get the best protection. Tinted SPF is available if you’d rather not opt for foundation at the beach – which, let’s face it, is never a good idea anyway due to the runny look from the water and humidity. Choose a good facial sunscreen, a lip balm with sun protection, and a good body sunscreen to offer the ultimate in protection. Be sure to always reapply every 30-60 minutes – especially if exposed to water.

Refreshing Wipes for Face
If you’re sweaty and feeling a bit gross, these refreshing facial wipes will come in handy. Opt for an oil-free wipe, such as Say Yes to Carrots, to ward off the shine you might show from the sun.

Cleanser
After a day spent at the beach, you will more than likely want to cleanse your face well. Always remember to bring a travel sized bottle of your favorite cleanser with you to cleanse morning and night, ridding your skin of impurities, salt, and pollution.

Lip Gloss
Lip gloss is a great go-to cosmetic option when you’re spending time at the beach. You can even apply it over a layer of lip balm with sun protection. Choose a tinted color to offer yourself that perfect color pop.

Tinted Moisturizer
Tinted moisturizer is another fabulous beachworthy option. Wearing foundation or powders at the beach is just a recipe for disaster. This way, you get a dose of hydration with a little color to help you look glowy and radiant.

Anti-Shine Serum
When spending all that time in the sun, you may feel a bit on the shiny side. Apply some of your favorite anti-shine serum before or after heading out to the beach to keep your skin looking matte for the duration of your trip.

Waterproof Mascara
Waterproof mascara is a great cosmetic option when at the beach, because not even the sea water can take it off. Being that you don’t have too many options when spending time in the water, this is a great one you can feel good about not getting messed up, while putting some emphasis on your eyes.
